Each year it is the generous spirit of our supporters that allows us to continue forward with our mission at Jacoby Arts Center. Our center is largely supported by funds from private philanthropy. While very source of the funding is important, support by private individuals is especially vital to Jacoby's activities. We invite you to consider any of our giving opportunities, which include both current gifts and planned giving.

Current gifts are considered made on the date it is hand-delivered or mailed, and is deductible in the year it is given. In addition to cash or check, we accept MasterCard, Visa, or Discover with these giving options. In addition to cash or check, we accept MasterCard, Visa, or Discover with this giving option.
Direct Giving
The simplicity and ease of delivery make a direct gift of cash or through a check or your credit card the most popular type of charitable gift. The majority of Jacoby's gifts received are in this form. We also welcome gift cards from area vendors (including utility providers) and service providers. For more information about preferred gift cards, please contact Jacoby's Executive Director.
Memorials and Honorariums
These monetary gifts are made when a family member passes away or in celebration of birthdays, anniversaries, and other significant life occasions.
Appreciated Property
Charitable gifts of appreciated property, whether real estate or capital gain securities – can provide even greater tax benefits than a direct gift of equal value. You may take a charitable deduction for the full market value of the property, while avoiding capital gains taxes. The IRS currently allows you to deduct the full fair market value of the property up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross income for the year. Any amount over that ceiling can be carried forward for future deduction, for up to five years, subject to the same percentage limitations. Examples of appreciated property include stocks and other securities, real estate (subject to prior approval by our Board of Directors), and personal items such as art, antiques, rare books, coins, other collectibles.
Other Tangible Assets
Gifts that are tangible and help to advance the programming and operations of Jacoby Arts Center are also welcome. These could include items vital to continued success such as computer and digital technology, classroom materials, furniture, physical plant hardware, and other items we have on our "wish list." Donations such as these are also subject to prior approval by our Executive Director and/or Board of Directors. For a complete list, click here.
